Spurs target Isco has indicated his willingness to extend his contract at Real Madrid.
The Spain playmaker has flitted in and out of Real’s first team since joining them from Malaga in 2013 and was heavily linked with a move away from the Bernabeu last summer, with Spurs and Juventus among his suitors.
However, the player himself has revealed that there is a desire both on his part and that of the club to extend his stay in the Spanish capital.
When asked about his contract renewal, he told AS: “I’ve got this year and the one afterwards left [on my contract]. The two [parties] want [it]. We hope that it can be fixed.”
“I’m getting continuity now and am happy to help the team.”
Isco has scored 24 goals in 153 appearances for Real since signing from Malaga in June 2013.
