Nigeria’s ex-international Joseph Yobo, was a guest of honour at his former club over the weekend as the Everton former player prepares for his upcoming testimonial match to be held in Rivers State, Nigeria. The Nigeria’s ex international was presented to the fans at half time and received a stadium wide ovation from all present.
He tweeted 'Fans chanting Yobo, Yobo, Yobo as I came on against Bournemouth today. Absolutely Breathtaking! Thank you @Everton!'
“It was a humbling and emotional moment for me,” said Yobo, who spent ten years at the Premier League club, following a move from French side, Olympic Marseille.
He took pictures with Everton's kitman, the chefs and also the club's liason officer before proceeding to Chelsea's stadium to meet up with Mikel Obi, John Terry, Radamel Falcao and some other Chelsea players.
